Connection isn’t something we search for, it’s how we sustain one another.
In October 2025, I stepped onto the TEDxWilmette stage carrying a story that had been building for years, one about connection, belonging and the quiet courage it takes to hold each other in a world that often feels disconnected.
That moment became more than a talk. It became a movement and this space is where that story continues. This space invites you to explore the Wells framework: a simple, human-centered approach to rebuilding community, tending relationships, and practicing everyday care.
The TEDx Talk on Connection and Belonging That Started a Movement
When I first shared this message, I was naming what I had learned through loss, healing, and community, that we can become the wells we need. Creating this talk meant revisiting every story that taught me how connection and belonging sustains us, even when the world forgets.
This talk explores how connection works, how belonging is built, and why interdependence is essential, especially in a time of rising loneliness and disconnection causing irreparable harm.
Whether you are here for the first time or returning to reflect, this is the beginning of a deeper practice.
May this be a reminder that tending to one another, even in small, consistent ways, still matters deeply.
I invite you to share your thoughts and reflections about the talk below:
The Wells message keeps expanding through practice, community, and storytelling. Let’s explore what it can look like to prioritize relationships as infrastructure in our lives. To have connection and care be foundational in our families, communities, workplaces, and movements. Another way is always possible, “if only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to be it.” - Amanda Gorman
